S1 Joseph Bajorims - 12-25-1919 - 12-7-1941

This post is late to the game, but I want to honor a local fallen hero, known to our family, who was aboard the USS Arizona battleship and was killed in action on December 7, 1941. His remains are entombed in the USS Arizona at the Pearl Harbor Memorial. His name is inscribed there on one of the tablets in the Court of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.

Joseph Bajorims was known by our family since our father worked with his father, John, at Victor Chemical in Chicago Heights, IL and my aunt worked with Joseph at the Wardway Paint factory, also in Chicago Heights, before he enlisted in the Navy on October 8, 1940.
