I was blessed to have a mentor, first in business but he became like a darn good father. He left me his guns before he died 5 years ago. Blackhawk convertibles from the 80s that look close to new in original boxes. I decided today to sell them and send the money to his family. I don’t know his family but met his daughter once and I know there are grand children etc….someone could use it for something. It’s much easier for me to consign at a local gun shop, pay the 18%, than it is to post them on the forum, deal w shipping etc.
The question is are they interesting enough that someone on the forum would want them? I don’t care about the money…I want them appreciated and enjoyed. It looks like Blackhawks can be bought new all day long.

I would be interested in any or all Stainless convertibles. PM me what you have and prices. Thks

It’s your call, of course, but your friend may have had some good reason to give you the guns instead of giving them to his family. If you do sell them, please give us on the forum a chance at them.

I’m looking at the classifieds and don’t see them…what’s up?

If you don’t want to deal with shipping, I bet the local gun store will do it for you. For a price of course. But saves you the hassle.

Depending on 'clientel', and geographic region, single action, and even double action, REVOLVERS typically take a lower level of interest than the plastic, 'tacticool', super-shooters the kids want today. Around here, I've found some unbelievably cheap prices on what we call 'collectables"; they were hidden in the local gun shops. Three years ago, a friend bought a VERY clean 10" 44Mag OM FLATTOP for $425; last year I bought a "converted", but otherwise unblemished .44 Mag OM Flattop for $400 (including my cost to convert it back, and change the grip frame back to the correct one). My recommendation: sell them where there is real interest in what you want to sell....HERE. p.s. I'm no longer in the market for guns, so my advice is purely altruistic.

I clearly got the cart before the horse….when I emailed my late friend’s daughter she appreciated the gesture but would not take any money….. she did say her son would like to have the guns….don’t know why I didn’t think of that before. I don’t think I knew she had a son.
sorry for the false alarm for those on the forum who offered to buy them.

There is a service I've used with perfect results for shipping a handgun to a buyer's FFL, called "Ship My Gun", reasonably priced, too.
The SMG shipping service is a very good way to get them moved. It's belongs to Buds Gun Shop. One of the largest online gun shops.
Good luck
Be safe
