Hello to all I am new to forum and need help and info please. I have a old 3screw single six I looked the SN up and it was made in 1960 it has xr3 on the frame under grips it is in over all good cond. light ware marks from holster. It just has the one cyl did it not come with the mag cyl or is it just missing. How can I find the value of this gun. The SN is 153068 can anyone help me find out about this gun? thanks much.

With that serial number it is most likely a .22 L.R. only gun. As far as value you didn't say if it was a 5 1/2 in. bl. or 4 5/8 or 9 1/2 in. bl.gun. And to give you a good idea on it's value we will have to have that information and it would help it we had some good pictures. RENE list these guns from 95 to 98 percent finish from 450 to 660. This depends of barrel length and if it falls within the 95 to 98% finish.

Welcome to the Forum,, I agree with 'street 'need more info as to the guns "configuration" and just what is "good condition" and "a little bit of holster wear" ...condition is everything when it comes to value, and the prices he quoted are more in line with a collectible gun, "good condition and holster wear" falls a bit of those kinds of values..................got any pictures??? would help make a better evaluation......and "extras" like the box and paper work???
as for any "extra" cylinder, as 'street' noted and I agree, doubt if it came with one.....you can always have the bore 'plugged ' ( gauged using something like Cerrosoft) for its bore diameter.....1960 is right at that 'transition' point in time when the 22 Magnums came out and were actually put to use in a revolver, and the first ones ,at least by Ruger ,were "Magnum" marked as such, convertibles came into being shortly during AND after.........
you can always contact Ruger, and apply for a letter as to just "how" ( configuration) your gun was shipped, that's about all they will tell you, as well as the ship date..........

well it is 4 & 5/8 barrel I will try to get pics up and thanks for taking your time to look

As it's a 4 5/8 in. bl. gun with XR3 grip frame, then RENE list it at $650. Now it has to be a 95 to 98 percent gun to command this price. Your gun is somewhat rare as only about 5000 of them made. We do need pictures to make an informed valuation!!!!!
