I am selling my second Ruger Old Army. I'm keeping my original one. It is new in the box. It's a S/S 7 1/2 inch original never fired.
Any one know what I should ask for it or expect to be offered from a black powder only shop???

Any business will not give you as much as a private sale. A gun shop,, will have to allow for markup so be prepared to be offered a lot less than you'd expect.

There has been a lot of interest lately for Old Armys here on this forum. Like Contender said, a private sale is best and you will come a lot closer to getting what you want. Check the classifieds here for recent sales with regard to price and give yours a shot.

Not to mention you can ship it wherever in the country with no FFL fees.
You might want to offer on here for sale first.

DOUBLE CHECK that about not needing an FFL for shipping on ROAs. I seem to recall a post here about the recent change from the BATF regarding any cap and ball revolver that could take a conversion cylinder now needing an FFL for transfer.

Wait - What? Link? (I am searching)

NOTE - I think if you had a Blackpowder pistol and you had the conversion cylinder in it then that would need an FFL transfer but if you don't sell it with the cylinder then it's a non-issue (or so it always has been).
