Does anybody here remember Whidbey Island air base in Washington?

It is still an operating air base. A better question would be does anyone here remember flying off Sand Point Naval Air Station on Lk. Washington?

Yep. Used to live just north of Seattle (Mukilteo), before we retired to MS.

Yes I was stationed there building engines for A6 Intruders from 1983 to 1987. Went back for a visit last year. Awesome place!

My dad was there when he was in Navy. I think it was somewhere around 1942, anyway I have a little flag he sent home to his mom and dad that has a poem about parents.
