My New P95

I added a new Ruger to my collection. First came the Mark II. Then a GP-100. A few months ago an LCP joined the flock. The new kid, picked up yesterday, August 6 - a Ruger P95.

I like the weight and it feels good in my hands. No range time yet, but that will be coming soon.

I traded in a rifle - a Remington Model 76 in 30.06. I bought it 30 years ago to deer hunt and it has been sitting in my gun cabinet for over 20 years unused. I'll get more use out of the P95.

Great guns, especially for the price. I have several full size 9's, but the P95 gets a lot of range time. Now you need to get to the range, and give us a report.

Same here. Only had one FTE and that was my own fault. Got so relaxed shooting it I limp-wristed it. Other than that it has been flawless.

I have two P95s. I hear some say there are better guns out there but the P95 does everything I need it to do. I don't need to spend two or three times as much to find out if they are right.

Like AlanJ65 spoke of, the P95 can be sensitive to limp wristing. I think remembering to do the "push/pull" technique is a good way to avoid limp wristing... and a great way to teach someone new to avoid limp wristing. Just telling one's self to "squeeze" can do the trick also.

A clean P95 with an ever so little bit of lube on the rails will do the job for quite a long time.

The blackened slide looks great. Shoot it and love it.

I have the stainless one and just love it. I added a rubber hogue grip and recently added Trijicon Night Sights. I am more accurate shooting my P95 compared to some of my other guns. Good luck and happy shooting!!!
