A few months ago, my wife had me go to a flea market and while there, I ran across a stainless GP100 that looked about as new as one in a showcase. I've flirted with buying one for about 30 years and although I have/had many Rugers, I've been more of a 686 man since they came out. Anyway, I bought this GP100 (serial dates it to 1992) for $400 and was able to finally shoot it this last weekend. It's a wonderful piece and I can't remember shooting a more accurate pistol. No getting used to or warming up, it just sang. It's the best money I've spent in a long time and thank God for a good wife.

Congrats on the new GP100. If I had to pick one of my guns and get rid of the rest, I'd probably go with one of my GPs. Great guns.

Great score! Good price for a great piece. Congrats and I think I'm more surprised you found a decent price at a flee market! Only guns I ever saw at a flee market were more over priced than at an organized gun show.

Well done g17. We have a bunch of picky people here and we seemingly never have complaints about the GP100. I too have one in stainless and it has been flawless.

What fascinates me as a California resident is finding a GP-100 at a flea market! You can't even find them in gun stores here unless you are lucky. Is there a background check or do you just plunk down the dough and ride off into the sunset? Great state for weather, not so good for buying guns.

I own one myself - it's a beaut!

Cheers!
