Had my room semi-cleaned up last night so I made a few pics. It ain't much, but it's my space.

I believe that is a picture of Charleton Heston's gun room, if memory serves...

Most of the e-mails that circulate with those pictures say it is Charleton Heston's gun room, but that's not true.

It was owned by Bruce Stern. Here is part of a thread a couple of years ago:

It seems to be the "Bruce Stern Famous Military Collection"??
Here is a link to when it was auctioned off:

Lots of photos on this page, so if you have a slow internet connection, it might take a while....

Still an awesome gun room.
To the O.P., I really like your gun room too. I wish I had a "relax space" as nice as that.

Well, we couldn't "afford" to dedicate the space to that until all the kids were out of the house. Well, all but one. I do enjoy having a place to have all my junk together, loading bench, hunting clothes, and all. my wife is pretty gracious about it. it also is my 3 year old grandson's favorite room to play in.

I wish I had any room that big to myself... well my part of the basement is good sized so no huge complaint except I need to fix it up!

I love your room --thats a BIG room :!: Like that hanging display shelf with all that old ammo-- & I see some nice long bows :) Looks mighty comfortable :)

Have my gun room now but slowly planning phase II and finishing off and creating access to a second area. The result will be basically a 16x16 vault. It'll be the "Ruger Room" then. :) I did get some ideas from your pics. I like the old ammo boxes and such. 8)

Those "old ammo boxes" are actually all full boxes of the original ammo. The Bullseye powder can is empty, though. That box of Western .30-06 ammo is interesting. It says it is "handloaded" ammunition for the 300 yard match. It also states that it is corrosive primed and that it must be fed single-shot (too long for a Springfield magazine). The cases are nickel-plated. Some pics below:

That is pretty kewl. Notice that the description is on a sticker that has been placed over other words. I wonder what it says underneath????

Nice man cave I am working towards one my self ! I am in a remodel turning 2 rooms into one and I will take over the small room we are in now as a man cave.

Nice, Jim. Hey, you ever been to that bbq place in Abilene that looks like (may be) an old hangar and all decorated with airplane stuff? Can't reember the name of it right now.

Thanks,
No have not. Sounds like a fun place to go to. Been to a great one in Midland Texas run by an Old airplane guy. Has lots of airplane stuff all over.
Jim
