My gun mods.

Got nothing to do this morning so I thought I would ramble a little.....since nobody asked.
I am a revolver person, mostly. Just my preference. I do have a few semis, though, mostly 9s and 380s and one 22. Couple of 22 rifles. One shotgun.
I only make a couple changes to all of my guns. To me, I buy a gun, clean it and shoot it. I can repair if needed, most of the time, but for the most part I leave them alone.
Changes I make to almost of them: Make the front sight orange if not already that color. Put two white dots on the rear sight if not already there. On revolvers I sometimes change the grips; most of the time though I go back to or stick with the factory originals. I have a lot of revolver grips on hand. On the semis I might throw on a slip on grip; once there they usually stay. Changed one set on one semi; the factory felt too wide for me.
That's it. Clean, shoot, clean. I am capable enough to change the front sights, rear sights, add lasers, dots adjust trigger pull, all of that. But I don't. Most of the time I don't see a reason to. Damn gun shoots a lot better than me. I can make many improvements and customizations and it will still shoot better than me. Work on making me better, the gun can handle it.
I buy a gun, shoot said gun, and if I don't like it I sell it. Most of the time lately I buy used guns, so when I sell if I take a loss it isn't that great. Usually I break even though.
I have probably shot way upwards of 50 different handguns. But I only own a dozen. Wife has about 3 or 4. I visit gun shops all the time, but unless something jumps up and makes me warm and fuzzy, I just drool a little and move on. If I do pick up one, then I normally sell one. Getting harder, though, since I like everything I have a lot.

I too am a revolver man. That's the bulk of my collection.Both single and double actions. I have more revolvers than all my other rifles, shotguns and semi auto pistols all combined. I used to keep up on everything that came out by subscribing to all the gun magazines. Then they started cancelling magazines.Probably I will just give up and live in the past. Maybe Hickock and Gunblast will cover all the new stuff I care about.

You mention being in NC,, if you happen to be anywhere WNC,, I'm just outside Lake Lure.

BTW,,, I too usually leave my guns "as shipped" but I do have a few that get a bit of "tinkering" work myself!

Other than adding optics to guns that need optics I do very, very little to any of the guns I own. 10/22's get the BX trigger, I had a spring job done on a DA .357 to make it easier on my wife. I am a firm believer that I am the reason any of my guns are not accurate, and no mods in the world are going to fix that. That being said.... I don't have any guns that are not as accurate as they need to be for the job they are designed for.

This is 15 rounds through my American Rimfire Target in .22mag at 100 yards.

I need to come up and left about 1/2 MOA, but other than that... the only thing that needs to be better is me.

I tinker as far as I have too. If I get stumped usually someone here has good advice and if they don’t have the answer can help me work through it. I’m very appreciative of their help.

Not a revolver fanatic, though I have some. To address the OP title, however, my very favorite mod was to a Ruger LCP .380. I used to call it the jitterbug. Because it is so light it would jitter when shot. Added to that was an almost useless sight. Well, I added a ten shot Pro Mag extension to it, which added 2" of textured control, and an Armalite trigger guard laser site to upgrade sighting. It is now an AMAZING weapon.
