Just arrived! My first REAL SHORT bbl single action. This is the Lipseys 44 Special Sheriff's Model and I like it! Now for some leather......

With it's new bigger brother.

Yeah, that's gonna be a problem there. I may have to have one of those.

I have 2 of the 4 5/8" ones, and a SS Vaquero birdshead sheriff's model in 45 Colt, but that one just calls out.

I like my short barrel birds head Vaquero, but I think the smaller size of the same configuration on a New Vaquero would be cool too.

Thanks! Yes, it's a Lefty...... I am too, so that works out pretty well! ha ha

I may sell it though and use a crossdraw instead. I'm actually thinking of going with a stainless gun too, instead of blue in this shorty. Not sure on that yet.

The gun feels pretty nice in hand though!

Maybe next yr.. Never had that short of a barrel on a S.A., or fixed sights before. But am interested in a CCW-able S.A.. steve b

This short of BBL feels/balances really nice. I was a little surprised! I'm going to be working on a concealable holster for six-guns in the very near future! I like the thought of carrying one of these or a 4 5/8 44 flattop...... good stuff that I can hit really well with!

Keep an eye out for them, I'll post pics when I get one worked out!

Sorry, I don't mean to rain on your parade but I just don't like the New Vaquero hammers. It looks especially out of place on that short barreled gun.

That's why my other post asks about what hammers will work. I too think it looks silly on this short of gun. I'm hoping to find a SBH hammer ASAP!
