I went to the Gun Show over in Palmer, AK this past weekend and stumbled on an Old Model Single Six. It sported AJAX grips but was missing the .22WMR cylinder. According to the Serial Number it was made in 1970. It looks pretty good for a 40 year old firearm since the fellow said it spent most of it's life in his safe. I've been looking for one for a few years now and this is the nicest one I've seen. I think it's a keeper. I've been smiling since Saturday morning. I'm looking forward to shooting it soon.

Has it been converted by the factory or is it in its original form. Those pre conversion models seem to be bringing a lot of money lately, congrats. on your find,

Those are nice guns but do require a bit of care while handling.
You can visit the Ruger site and download a copy of the old owner's manual.

It has NOT been converted which to me is a big plus. I've "lurked" here long enough to know a little about Old Models (keep an empty chamber under the hammer, etc). I've already checked out the Owners Manual online.
