My Favorite 10/22

I've been out of town for a few weeks so am trying to visit some of my LGSs so they won't think I've abandoned them. Today I found this real nice 10/22DSP, my favorite 10/22 configuration. From 1999 with the original box. Only way it could be better was if it were old enough to have a solid plastic butt plate. I've had my eye out for a nice one since I only had an abused one that I "rescued".

Really nice...... my favorite is my vintage stainless 10/22 with the metal trigger group and a B-team stainless folding stock....

I missed out on an 80’s vintage NIB 10/22DSP model at the last Amoskeag auction that still stings! The DSP with plastic buttplate was my first Ruger firearm….

Congratulations,,, the DSP is a good looking 10/22 especially with the walnut stock, blued steel, and absence of the barrel band.

My 1981 DSP w/ the plastic butt plate.
I keep thinking I need to add a Leupold,,, but really like this gun with just the open sights.

Nice! To me the butt plate makes a difference. Don't scope it. You'll just mess up the finish on the top of the receiver.

The DSP is my favorite version as well! This is my only 10/22 and also my first Ruger. I bought it in 1976. The scope is a Leupold 4x RF Special.
