No, you don't :wink:
Gun is all original as it left the factory in 1968 - minus a bit of finish on the grip frame:

Very nice looking rig 'armybrat' ,,,,I too see the "shadow" on the side of the hammer (right side) in your top, first picture and thought like 'contender' that was the "cutout " of the safety updated hammer............
the gun looks in great shape....we like it :wink:

That's a beauty but it needs to go out & stretch it's legs! If it was up here in Idaho I'd warm that barrel up next to my OM shorty. Tyrone knows what I'm talking about, Ground Squirrels!
