Muzzle Breaks for Ruger PC9

I'm thinking about putting a muzzle break on my Ruger PC9 with my new Midwest free float.
Looks like the thread is 1/2"-28. Is that correct?

What have you installed and can you post pictures?

Yes it's 1/2" x28. A friend has a https://www.kawvalleyprecision.com/KVP-Linear-Comps-s/100.htm on his unfortunately I got a non-threaded. It works well and with a lot less side blast. But it doesn't reduce muzzle rise quite as much as a conventional does.

It might look cool, but I can’t envision it really being effective. A 9mm just doesn’t have the energies of a .50 BMG.

gramps beat me to it.... can't fathom the need for one.. except to look more tacticool.... other negative is it just makes the rifle longer.

I agree a muzzle brake isn't necessary on a PC9! But for PCC competition it's useful.
