Movie "Gravity"

Watched this Netflix movie last night and must say I was a little disappointed with it. Some may rave over the computer generated stuff in it. But after a while I just got bored with it.

Kind of like having a screen full of spider webs. Not really that much of a story line either. Even though the only two actors in the movie were good actors they just couldn't seem to pull it off, at least for me.

It kind of reminded me of that Transformers movie. I didn't like all the CG stuff in that either. Watching two of those machines fight was as exciting as watching people ram two power lawn mowers into each other. Just not my cup of tea.

I would say that "me getting bored with it" and "it just sucked" are pretty close to the same thing. :wink:

I saw it in 3-D at a theater last fall and liked it. I then saw it on a friend's 50" hdtv and it looked lousy;the dvd player was an older lower-definition kind. I think it is one of those movies that needs to be seen in a theater.

My wife and I saw it in a theater. We were unimpressed with the 3-D. We both love watching Sandra Bullock, but the movie just wasn't much. We preferred "Captain Phillips."

Saw the previews on TV and was totally UNIMPRESSED with the idea.

The Producers of "Gravity" did the best they could with what they had but it was just not a very entertaining movie.

I liked the parts with Bullock out of the space suit.

While the CG special effects were predictable, I enjoyed it for what it was - somewhat thought provoking in its premise. Space is quite mysterious and completely unforgiving. I enjoyed the "what if" aspect of it. JMHO.

I thought it might have been a little better if they kept Clooney alive. It might have been more interesting with both of them finally getting back to earth. Seems like it might have given it a better story line.

At least it was free when I saw it. I thought it wasn't that great.

Saw it in the theater and thought it was pretty good, not great but kept my attention. The part that confused me somewhat was at the end where she comes down in that lake that looked like it was in the middle of nowhere and barely gets out of the capsule and swims to shore. So there she is, on the shoreline of this desolate lake, no civilization in sight and the movie ends. Made me think that she just went through all that to survive and now she's stranded in the middle of nowhere, in a tank top and shorts, wet and cold. Does she survive that part too or not? Kind of like they didn't finish the movie.

I don't know what people were expecting but,imo,for a story of survivng disaster in outer space,it was an effective offering.

Too much technically wrong with it. My Wife and I bought it, watched it, gave it away to someone we didn't particularly like. Yawn!!!!!
