I picked up another .45lc Montado the other day and it was considered used.It came in a white cardboard box with a UPC coded sticker,a baged gun lock ,and a stapled sheeted photocopy of the owners manual,no lock key for the grip or packaged shot cartridge. Other than being a little better buffed than my purchased new Montado,I see nothing wrong with it.Think it's a refurbished gun?Think Ruger would send me the factory box and key?

Wow just looked the Serial # up and not on the list,but consecutively it appears to be made this year.

Ruger just shipped me a vaquero and it was in a brown cardboard box and did have a key and lock included if that helps. I know the lcps come new in a white cardboard box. Maybe ruger is ditching the plastic boxes to save money.

So long as people expect freebies, they gotta do something to offset the expense. If having a key & lock is important enough, why not simply order them? :roll:

Somebody made the decision to modify the gun to lock with a key,so it should be with it,and Ruger says this gun is new shipped late last year.The box must be a cost thing,but the copied owners manual puzzles me as Ruger will send you one no problem.The cardboard box doesn't match my other Montado and it throws off my equalibreum........
