The guy was brave for sure to the end but I question the narrative to a degree...

Another who was awarded the MOH at the same battle. I think he was the team leader who was following Chapman.

Apparently the fallen soldier they were trying to rescue was one of their teammates who was ejected when the helicopter they were in was shot down. So the battle we saw is after they had all crashed in a helicopter.
Really interesting to see the actual footage in the OP, I wish it was the full screen.
