i have a Ruger MKII with a 10 inch barrel that I was going to sell. It is blue and in very good to excellent condition. It basically looks like a new gun. No box or paper work with one magazine. Would I be out of line asking $400 for it ? Thank You.

$400 would be a great price for a good to excellent MK10 IMO..

I have a buddy who has one & tried selling it at a local gunshow & everyone seemed to thing that the $350 he was asking was too high, so back in the safe it went with the other half dozen MKIIs he owns.. Most of these were dealers that wanted him to leave "Meat on The Bone" so they could resell it at a profit..
His has alot of wear & has had the sights replaced with williams firesights..
I might even pick that one up myself as another range plinker..
The only reason he wanted to sell his is he bought a stainless KMK10 & wanted to sell the MK10 to offset the purchase..

Good Luck what ever you decide to do Buster..

They seem to sell in classified ads when listed for $450-500. I am assuming the seller is giving a bit so $400 is reasonable.
I have not seen a 10" MK2 on a gun store shelf for less than $400 in a very long time.

I just missed out on a MK II Govt Model, blue, for $299, but picked up a good used MK II Competition Model, stainless for $375, in orginal box, w/manual & clips.

Wish i could"find"one around here.Missed one at the gun show a couple of months ago.Blued w/one mag.$300.The guy was looking at it and as I picked up he said he was buying it.Nice gun too.Slow

I picked up KMK 10" at local gunstore this week for $350.00 out the door. So good deals are still out there.

I picked up a SS one about three and a half years ago w/box (no papers) and a cheap red dot for $350 and I found a blue one at a local show last month (no box, no papers) for $300. Both have made me happy as a pig in sh... oops, er, mud !

(Deals are out there !)
