I note that many of you have used Missouri Bullets. They claim to ship fast but what does that look like in real time? I ordered some .38 S&W bullets just about 3 weeks ago. At the one week mark I inquired about my order and they indicated that they needed to size some more of them and that they would be doing that later in the week. Since then I have heard nothing. So normal time frame, no worries or out of line? I really don't want to bother them if this seems normal.

I've only ordered a few times from MBC, all in stock bullets. Order date to received date was about 5 days each time.
I guess I need to get off my six and finally send those 38 S&W cases to you since you have bullets inbound! I know I promised that to happen 3 weeks ago.....

They are probably just behind with those particular bullets. I have nothing but good luck with MBC. My mailman hates them though.

I'm thinking HP38/W231 would work well? Always have fast shipping with them. I'd say your bullets are out of stock and being made. I use the hard cast Hi-Tek coated with good results.
I would tend to agree with you. While I understand the issue, I do think that they should let the customer know that is the case. I went with them because other companies that provide this size bullet let the prospective customer know that they were 5 weeks out.

Missouri Bullets are nothing but good. Totally worth waiting for. Like any business these days, keeping good labor is an issue. Sometimes they ship right out, sometimes you wait a little while. Again, worth waiting for. Great company and products. They are not "Amazon Prime" but a small business. They'll get them to you.
I always buy their Hi-Tek coated bullets which work fantastic. No leading. Black coating color is not off-putting like blue or red powder coat to my eye too. I buy their lower hardness bullets. They obturate quickly, seal the bore, and the Hi-Tek does the rest. For low to moderate speeds their 12 hardness LSWC bullets work super. Their Keith 44 LSWC coated run 18 hardness and works great at 850fps with no leading.
For those of you new to lead bullets, too hard lead at low velocities can lead terribly. The hard bullet doesn't seal, and hot gasses jet by and melt the lead. Hard bullets are great for high velocities, but not slow.
I used to use Oregon Trail LSWC and ordered some from the company's new owner RimRock. The RimRocks were awful. Bad leading and hence bad accuracy. Cast way too hard for any use I have. For those of you pushing velocities up, they may work for you.

Dang.......I thought the cases would beat the bullets to you even with my laziness.....oh well we expect to see pics of some loaded rounds SOON or we will need to upgrade our patience as well.....I think I'm naturally pegged where I'm at and have been all my life...ZEROThanks Marc! As you probably know by post 11 , I received my bullets and all is as you say. I am most pleased . I guess I will have to upgrade my patience level

Hodgdon HP-38/Winchester 231 the same powder that is some good old school powder for the .38 & .44 Special. I've been using it for years. I just finished some of it up. I had the powder for thirty years performed like new fresh powder. Always stored in a cool dry dark place in the military ammo cans. Now I gotta get some more. The powder prices have all went up this year!
I have been a MB customer since they first started. I have not ordered from them in several years though because I have not been shooting like I used to. When I was though they were stellar. I know Brad has passed away, he was one of the owners and always helpful. I really hope they are not suffering after his passing.
