Mini 30 Scope Rings

I'm putting a Weaver K4x38 scope (1" tube) on my 189 series Mini 30. I'd like to ask your advice on what rings to use - which would work best - Weaver rings, or should I order rings from Ruger?

This is my first scope, so this is all new territory for me. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!

To use weaver rings, you'll need a base that accepts them.

The Ruger bases, milled into the receiver work fine for me. You can go Ruger for the rings, or there are a couple other brands that make rings to fit Ruger bases (Warne, Millet).

from the Ruger chart, it looks like my old blued 189 series Mini 30 would use the 4B medium rings front and back for a scope with a 38mm front lens.
