Mini-14 Tactical question

Quick question. I bought a NIB off a Forum member a few years ago that is black but with matte SS metal parts. Over the last few weeks I have been looking at the Tac on the Ruger site, GunBroker, and the like and they are all 100% black. I see Davidsons has an identical one to mine with the matte SS. Did I buy a Davidsons without being aware of it?

Is it a model 5819 or 5820 or ????? Whatever the model, as far as I know Davidsons is not the only distributor who had them. I've called Davidsons before and they were very responsive. I guess you could give them a call with the serial number and they might look it up.

I too have a stainless Mini-14 Tactical. Turns out that it is only listed in Ruger's LE (law enforcement) catalog. In other words it is not a Davidson's exclusive.
