Mini 14 Tactical lower rail question

The Mini 14 tactical rifle comes with a 2" lower rail for bipods or foregrips. I would like to attach both of these items to the lower rail at the same time. This will require a 6" rail. Does anyone know if this is possible?
I know there is a bipod with a bottom rail between the legs however it is a beast and way to heavy.

I found this on the net from yankee Hill. My plan is to reverse the direction so that it travels under the rifle toward the magazine.

5" Rail Extension (YHM-9474)

I have a Mini14 with the ATI stock (same one Ruger sells on the Mini Tactical). I dont run a Bipod, but I did want to run my forward grip further back. I took a section of aluminum Weaver/Picatinny rail that I had kicking around and screwed it to the bottom of the Stock. It has worked out pretty well. Just be sure you use a Punch to start your holes when you drill, and make sure to remove the metal insert in the stock. I don't have a good picture of my setup here, but I can get one later.

As promised, here are a couple of pics of the rail I added to my Mini. This was just a piece of Picatinny rail I had kicking around. If I had done a better job of drilling the holes (drill press instead of a hand drill for instance) this would have come out looking really nice. As it is, its functional which is all I really care about.
