Figured I'd consult the experts. I'm trying to help a friend of mine that just received a very well kept 180 series Mini 14 with a missing rear sight. We have done quite a bit of searching for a replacement to no avail. Any ideas or directions where we may find a replacement??
By the way, excellent forum! Thanks for any help in advance.

If Ruger can't help I have an Armoror's kit that has a rear peep both high and low with lots of other sight parts like the plunger springs You should look at an explosion diagram, the parts are marked like M-52, M-53 etc. Figure out what you need/want

Thanks for the replies gentlemen. It was my understanding Ruger no longer supports any aspect of the 180 series but I will call to be sure.
As far as parts diagrams go I'll look it up but on a 180 series the mount (tabs with 2 holes) is made part of the upper and this one needs any and removeable parts that make up the rear sight.
Thanks again fellas.

Yotacrazy, I would have thought they could furnish parts for most anything they ever built, but what do I know. Dad lost the rear sight assembly on his MkI long barrel .22 before he passed away. That gun, purchased used in the early 60s came with a Micro rear sight. Micros were long gone at Ruger, but they sent me a sight that fits (and works just fine.) Best wishes and MERRY CHRISTMAS, jack

Spoke with Ruger today, no parts or support for the 180 series at all. Bummer but that's what I had heard. The search continues.
