mini 14 problem

Check the tip of the trigger guard and it mating catch point on the trigger housing. It may be worn.

Joe, welcome aboard. Do you mean that the trigger guard is releasing? It is the last step in assembly. It should take a bit of force to click the back end of it in place. It should lock up so tight that it takes a screw driver to release it. Here is a Ruger video on assembly instructions:

Talked to ruger today, they are sending me a new trigger guard, but they are out of stock right now.Mmmmmm what does that tell ya?

Ok guys ruger did me right. they sent me a new trigger guard free.I put it on today and the gun ran fine ,no more falling out stuff. You could tell that the old one was not made right compaired to the locking tit on the new one, end of the guard was kinda rounded off on the old one,the new one was more squared and holds better. They must have had a bad production run of these trigger guards. But ruger made it right so am happy.
