What are the must have spare parts to get for a series 185 (1987-1988) mini 14?

Lets say you want to keep one going for as long as possible and want to buy all the parts now, what would you buy (Ruger catalog numbers), how many of each and where would you buy them from?

What would you have in your mini 14 first aid/surgery kit to keep it alive no matter what malfunction it has except for the barrel or receiver failing?

I can understand the springs, but what kind of shape was the bore of the barrel in? Was it pitted or in shootable condition(accuracy)? What about the stock or was it synthetic?

You'll also want to get an extra bolt or two for when the firing pin breaks.

I don't think Ruger will sell you any, but Midway carries replacement firing pins:

I do not know how easy they are to change out.
