So after 10 years of my buddy trying to get me to part with my 6" stainless Security Six it finally happened. I've been thinking about a 3 or 4" GP100 so the Security Six is now going back into the woods as a hunter where it belongs. I also let my SP101 357 go as my LCR has completely replaced that as my carry gun. About a month ago I picked up an SP101 in .22lr for fun and absolutely love it, I was surprised at how much I liked the fiber optic sight so I figured I'll put one on a GP100 when I get one. We'll, now that I had a couple of extra bucks in my pocket and I love the looks of the Match Champion I might as well pull the trigger(pun intended). I don't care for the feel of wood grips so they're tucked away but I have to say that this version of the GP100 is a good shootin' fun gun. Only got a hundred rounds or so through it but once the snow melts a little I can't wait to get it back to the range.

Those go well together. I have a similar set that I enjoy a lot. No way my security six is going any where though...

Very nice pair, The Security Six decision was a tough one but I barely touch it any more and he's been after it for 10 years now. I know he loves it and will have it until he dies. If it were a 4" gun I would have never gotten rid of it or bought a GP100 but the stars just lined up and he caught me at a weak moment. He's thrilled, I'm happy, all is well... for now
