Thinking about some of the great inventions the world has seen. The wheel, the printing press, the cotton gin, the aeroplane, radio, the TV remote "mute" button.

You forgot the small-block Chevy and the Colt Government Model of 1911.

Corrugated cardboard. Look around you and see how important it is in our lives.

I don't know about that mute button Fox Mike. My wife mutes all the good commercials I actually might see so I don't know where the sale is etc. Then she forgets to un mute when my favorite show comes back on and I miss all the plot twists because I don't hear the important characters talking.

Flush toilet. I used to work with a guy that told the story about when the richest man in the county (this was in Iowa) built a new all brick house with a newfangled indoor toilet. His grandma asked "what kind of man would want to sheit in the house"?

Are you suggesting I fight her for the remote? I'd have to sleep with one eye open for a month!

I have a much more complete toolbox: WD40, duck tape, J-B Weld, vise grips, Swiss Army knife, and 10" single-cut fine-cut flat bastard mill file. If I can't fix it with that stuff, it needs to go back to the factory.
