Pinto in which way?? I know I had some stainless upper MK II in the 5 1/4 inch but they were on the 22/45 fiber frames,,,and has always been one of my favorite configurations ;)
and yes the opposite , blued gun with a 5 1/2 inch barrel but having a stainless frame from a local distributor here in Ohio late 80's.......I'm looking.....:unsure:

There was at least one run of factory pintos, I believe they were a Distributor Exclusive.

Stainless grip frame/blued upper is the way I remember them.

I don’t have RENE handy, but I’m sure 1gunsnotenough or chet15 will wander in with an answer, soon enough.

yes, here in OHio back in the late 1980s ,like 1989, the distributor known as Outdoor Sports had a two tone blued Mark II with a stainless grip frame it was catalog number MK512S made like 2000 of them should be in the RENE as to serial number range.....
 
There are a few so called PINTO or blued and stainless. There was a T512, a RST6 and RST4. The 4" and 6" were opposite of each other.
Could you provide some additional information on these? I was unaware of any pre-Mark II pistols with stainless features other than the RST4-S and I couldn't find any mention of them in the RENE reference fourth edition, but I could have overlooked it. I am aware of the MK512S, P512G and KMKIII4-T.
