I took a Mark I Target 6 7/8" in trade recently. Looks nice but I just noticed that when I cock it, the receiver moves back slightly on the frame. When fired, it then moves forward. I am talking 1/32" or so. The receiver shows bluing wear from the movement where it meets the frame above the grip area, so I guess it has been going on for a while. Should I be concerned? Thanks.

I have a mk2 that got a little loose. I pinched the top of the removed frame in a vise to snug it up.

I have an older MKI bull bbl that has a bit of frame to reciever slop due to a LOT of shooting etc. It's never affected it's accuracy. But,, if you wish to tighten it up,, you can add a thin shim to the slot/notch engagement where the reciever mates to grip frame. Some folks have used a piece of aluminum soda can,, others a very thin piece of brass shim stock etc. An easy fix if it bothers you.
