Just pick up a mark 2 from wifes grandpa. Its a beautiful gun. The problem im having is that about round nine always seams to jam in the gun. It looks like the round is pointed to high while in the mag cusing the round not to feed properlly, which inturn jams the gun. The gun came with three mags and all three do this. So can i adjust something in the mag to fix this? Do i have to buy new mags? Or is there something wrong with the gun that needs to be fixed, cleaned, etc? Your help would be greatly apprishated. Thanks

PS- did i explain the problem well enough or do you all need some more info. Please let me know.

Just a suggestion as I have a MKI and it's magazine only holds nine. Have you thuroughly cleaned and lubed/dried the magazines. You may also try loading the mags with 6 >8 rounds and letting them set for a few days.

yes, you can close the 'front'lips of the magazine a bit to lessen the chance of the bullet rising up too much.....some guys 'tap' the back side of the magazine after they load it up , make sure all the bullets are "set back"...........hard to tell with out "seeing" it.........

Ill try cleaning them well. I do tap the back of my mags, but i will try folding/ bending the front lips slightly and experiment with that. Thanks for the advice guys. Take care and shoot straight.

When I had problems with my ancient Standard Auto I took the two magazines that were absolutely reliable and altered the feed lips of those that were troublesome until they matched the good ones. I now have all my magazines functional.

also check to make sure the follower AND the spring are installed properly, but seems odd that all 3 do the "exact same thing"..........we always tell folks usually start with the magazine AND the ammo, after a good thorough cleaning of the gun, especially the bolt, its face cutout as well as the extractor assembly.............but have many "bad" magazines over the years that just need a simple fitting ( adjustment)
