I ordered 2 Volquartsen triggers for the Mark 2 Ruger pistol. The 1st went in fairly easily and is in the FrankenRuger KMK4BL lookalike.

The 2nd is in a KMK6 and made me say words that are not appropriate for this forum. The sear flipped over during reassembly and when I repositioned it the sear spring took flight. Fortunately it landed where I easily found it with a flashlight.

The FrankenRuger has a 22/45 upper and a KMK lower. The trigger pull was horrendous and the Volquartsen trigger is a great improvement. I upgraded the factory sights to red dot litepipes and between the trigger and sights it has become a fantastic little pistol.

Nice,, but surely you jest about "made me say words that are not appropriate for this forum."
I used words close to what my dad said when someone put 3 deer slugs through his brand new 56 inch sawmill blade! I never heard them used in that combination before. I warned him that deer season was coming and that he should take the blade off after we sawed.

I was doing the trigger job at 2am with Walter the cat helping. I have to give Walter some of the credit for finding the sear spring because when it took flight he jumped after it.

Are you saying the VQ trigger made a great improvement in the trigger pull or the whole VQ kit?

MANY years ago, Walter's twin came into my life (also at a very bad time). I was at a local pet adoption sanctuary and this little black cat (in a room FULL of cats) kept following me around trying to climb up my pants leg; she even jumped up on the outdoor porch shelf and made her way around to the section I had tried to escape to. She jumped from the shelf onto my shoulder and started purring in my ear. It appeared that she had adopted me; she stayed with me thru some dark times for 14 years. She loved to come into the workshop, but wasn't much help since she demanded attention while I was trying to do something.
