Made in the USA

Well most is. Brought my new LCP II home today. It came with a nice little pocket holster. Flipped up the tag that says "RUGER" and under it is another tag that says " MADE IN CHINA". Then I checked the lock and it too was made in China. Makes me wonder just how much of my North Carolina pistol is USA and how much is from somewhere else.

Talk to the folks at the Mother Ship. Let em know that your willing to pay a bit more for that USA sticker.....and while you have em on the phone, tell em that I am also.

It's all about the pennies. Ruger probably has an employee reward system that pays for suggestions on how to make stuff cheaper. My uncle got the max from Ford for the simple suggestion not to paint roofs on cars getting a vinyl top.

Hate to break it to you but that's almost UN-American these days.
Think WalMart.

Nothing against Ruger as I have an LCP-II but most folks looking at a $250 gun are NOT looking to pay more. If they were, there's lots of other options/brands on the market.

Just like we'll whine about anti-2A legislation while finding fault with the NRA to justify not making a contribution.

Yep, it's sad indeed about that label but seems it's who we are as a society these days ..... and maybe for the past 20-30 years.

I guess I’m un-American, as I often search out the products made in USA and do pay more for them as well. It’s horrible when people try and save $2 by not buying American made products.

Ruger, like everything else is, NOT what it use to be. I'm happy I got what I got!
Any new gun purchase I make will most likely not be Ruger and will come out of
Wyoming or Texas. Bought a 1022 take down a couple years ago and it spent more time
in Newport Nh. than it has in my gun safe! ps

Same with the NRA... every free gift they give you for 'supporting' them is made in China it seems....

. . . as is essentially 99.99% of all the NRA-branded stuff for sale in their mail-order catalogs.
