I have many Ruger m77s Both tang and MKII.... i have always used the ruger rings on them. I have been looking at some options and, was wondering if anyone has tried any offset or converting to a picatinney style mount. If so do you have some pictures that i could see. I am need ing to move my scope back due to my neck surgery (fused vertebra) any ideas or tips ? Thanks guys.

I have always used the standard Ruger rings but I have seen pictures of guns with the offset rings. Moves the scope back about a 1/2". You should be able to purchase them from Ruger, I believe they only come in medium height. One other suggestion is to get a scope with long eye relief, I find Leupold's tend to fall into that category. Good luck and welcome to a great forum.

I think it depends on the scope, and caliber as well. Here is my .308 Hawkeye short action with a Zeiss 2.5-8X32MM in low Ruger rings. It has a 4" constant eye relief and I have it set pretty much forward as far as it will go. Plenty of room to move this scope back if needed.
