Took my brand-new 1234 to the range with five different BX-1 10-round magazines, loaded with five different brands of ammo. On all of them I was unable to have any round loaded into the chamber when releasing the bolt. It remained partially open with the round not going into the chamber, almost as though the feeding was too low. This happened with all the mags.
I'm going to to take it apart tomorrow but would appreciate any experience/input you can share. Maybe what to look at?
It had never been fired before. I did install a 1.25" cotton GI sling and QD swivels, as well as a cerakoted, Brimjob 2 trigger group, JWH Custom extended charging handle, and Kidd bolt buffer and magazine latch plunger. Also has a UTG 3-9x32 BugBuster AO on an NC Star rail that, like the sling and swivels, has absolutely nothing to do with this problem.
Really look forward to your help!http://www.rugerforum.com/phpBB3/posting.php?mode=post&f=32#

OK! MODEL 1234. Now the post is understood. My first thought would be that just perhaps the coating has gotten into something and is not allowing the magazine to seat properly.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. Around here,,, the model numbers are rarely used,,, in favor of the factory code info. We get very confused when model numbers are used. Especially since the factory codes were what Ruger used for years before assigning model numbers.
That said,,, with all the additions to the gun,, my first thought is; "Does it feed & fire with factory parts?"
Often,,, aftermarket stuff can be a little off to where things do not function properly.
I'd install the factory stuff & start from there. if it works fine like that,,, then add one thing, test it, before adding another item, as long as it functions. Once it stops,,, you can look at the latest addition for your issues.
And, if it fails to function properly with the factory parts,,, then a trip to Ruger is in order.

I'd also look at the aftermarket parts, starting with the magazine latch plunger and the cerakoted trigger group. Did it fire and cycle just fine before all the parts were added? And also another point to look at; if you have ever removed the barrel from the receiver. Is it reinstalled correctly and is nice and snug in the receiver? If the barrel is loose, I could see that causing problems. But with an empty magazine, go slowly and check to see if it can be seated fully.
