Looking for a semi guided hunt

I'm posting this in the lounge because I think I'll get more traffic here. Moderators move it if you think it needs to be. I'm looking for a semi guided whitetail hunt somewhere within 8 Hours Drive from Northeast Florida. I'm not looking for a canned hunt, I'm looking for a place that has a good management plan in place with good feed plots and such. I'm trying to put together a trip for me, my brother, and father. My dad is retired and he's in his late 70s. Loves to hunt! But my brother and I have crazy schedules and limited time off. Do any of y'all have any good recommendations? None of us are really interested in huge monster trophy deer just honest good size bucks. Thanks!

I'd look in Ga. or SC for such a hunt. Liberal limits, somewhat reasonable license fees, and many places that offer what you seek. There are a few magazines out there that focus just on one state. I've seen them for SC & Ga. As a bonus, you may also get a chance at some hogs thrown in!

Thanks contender! I've found lots of what I'm looking for in georgia and SC. That's part of the problem. I can't find any reviews on them other than what the companies post on their web sites. Prices seem to be all over the place too. Dad and I always get a couple of weekends to hunt together down here in florida with our quota system but the weekends never match up with my brothers schedule. I don't mind paying for someone else to do the scouting and herd management. I just want to make sure that I get what I'm paying for. I've heard stories of people paying lots of money to "guides" who don't manage any property but just set up stands on public land. It would also be nice to know their success rate. Most don't post that.

Dropping a hog or two would be a plus for us but we get to hunt them year round down here and we have a few places that let us trap them just to try and get the numbers down. Not the same thing has hunting them though.
