Thought I would share some pictures of some VERY old .45 Auto Rim ammo I stumbled upon; not being a collector of anything I took a bunch of pics and may just move them on to someone who lusts for such things.... I have no idea of the value; anyone want to venture an opinion? If not, just enjoy a trip back to probably early 1900's (?) below.







 
Cool find, They would go good with my 1917 S&W in a display box. My 1917 went to England during ww2 and got back here. It has the English crown marks on it and stamped not english made. On the barrel it says US property, I looked it up and apparently they were on the lend lease deal. But, really I do not want the ammo. Cool find through.
 
kmoore, THAT gun is a KEEPER for sure... I got rid of mine about two years ago; it didn't have the kind of provenance that yours has. I'm going to be giving the ammo to a younger member of my shooting club who is always around to help out us old guys. He has a grown son, to pass the ammo down to someday.
