The states whose permits Virginia will no longer recognize are: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

That mean in MOST STATES that they WILL NOT recognize VA's Concealed carry permit.

Sorry, I Should have posted this link:

Our Gov. is an obozo butt kisser. He says he has a "pen and a phone" also. This once great state is turning libitard because of the influx of forigners who go for the gov. dole.

It Aint just the Dimocrap governor; This idiotic move was by the State AG>:

Attorney General Mark Herring, a Democrat,

A thought; Can this moron just TRASH STATE law when ever he feels like it? I Assume that the CCW permit law WAS written by the Legislature.

Virgina Claims their CC rules are more restrictive than those other states.
Thus these states do not meet their standard. ps

Yeah, I'm on top of this .I'm gonna call and raise hell will the governor state attorney general in my representatives in both the House and Senate I'm going to do everything I can do to stop this it's an infringement on every American citizens Second Amendment rights.
By the way our standards for obtaining a concealed carry permit are some of the most lenient in the nation so their argument is a pile of horse poo to start with what brought this about was Jerry Falwell telling the students of Liberty University to carry on campus keep in mind this is a private University not a state school their way overstepping your bounds here they're doing the Obama line with a wave of their pen I ain't going to stand for it

I should know better than to look for logic in any such decision.
This is perfect logic it's exactly why this is happening we have a far left Democratic governor he's got his nose so far up Obama's butt the one Obama smilesyou see Mcaulffe's face and its the same thing with the Attorney General and our governor his face is in the same place and when are governors smile you see the AG that is a fact this all happened and the last elections dur four counties in Northern Virginia to hold the most numbers of votes in the electoral college.
Trust me on this this is not when will of the majority of the citizens of the state of Virginia it's pure politics, over the will of the people.

All swing states are being aggressively targeted by the left, and I'm not sure we have any plan at all.

We tend to write off the looney left states, but we'll wake up some day and find out that all the pivotal swing states have turned blue, and the Republic is lost for good.
Just the opposite is true. Republicans control more states than ever.

https://ballotpedia.org/Gubernatorial_and_legislative_party_control_of_state_government

quote> As of December 2015, there are 7 Democratic and 24 Republican trifectas. A trifecta is when one political party holds these three positions in a state's government: (the state house, the state senate and the office of the governor) <end quote

The remarkable Republican takeover of state legislatures, in 1 chart

quote> In 2009, Republicans controlled both chambers in just 14 state legislatures. Six years later, they had total control in more than double that number. And that's not even the full, bad story for Democrats. Look at their numbers. In 2009, Democrats had full control in 27 state legislatures; by 2015 that number was down to 11, the lowest ebb for total Democratic control since, at least, 1978. <end quote

Obama's election and re-election PROVE that the Dems have won the swing states in the last two national elections.

The rise of Republicans in governorship and state legislatures is a hopeful sign.

We won't know until the next election what the impact will be.

The issue is the planning and process that the left has for manipulating RESULTS and winning the swing states.
Florida was always thought of as a swing state but for about the last 10 years we have been republican. The gun laws in Florida have also definitely gone in favor of gun owners. Does this prove or disprove your theory?

Well I called the governor's office and spoke with one of his assistants and read them the riot act and I was even polite, articulate and respectful, not the opinion of a simple tax paying, law abiding citizen ,underling would matter a damn to them and their power grabbing communist cronies.
I also called the AG Mark Herring who pened this illegal order , but just got an answering machine.

I would imanage his office is being flooded with calls, again not that it would matter to him, he obviously doesn't care about the Constitution of the United States or the Constitution of the State of Virginia I left a message for someone to please call me back but trust me I will call both him and the governor everyday until the either reverse the position or they push this thing through either way they're going to hear from me and a whole lot of other people too they're going to know what they're doing is against the will of the people for the state of Virginia and if they're breaking the law.

Good for you Lou. Just when we thought gun owners were making progress on reciprocity, something like this happens. It's pretty sad that a Governor and AG can change what I thought was a state law. Unlike TitanX I don't think this is a national conspiracy but rather a rogue action by one governor. I don't know why anyone would think permit holders are a problem. I think they are some of the most law abiding people there are.

...as a side note, in Florida there is legislation underway to allow concealed carry permit holders to open carry. That would be nice.

We already have open carry, its been that way as longas I can remember,I mean way back when I was a little kid.
These jerks are just playing politics, but there gonna loose .
What he did circumvents our state constution and we will fight it all the way.
This ain't the Federal government, this is Virginia, Obama might get away with this crap in DC, but
here the people rule, we've beat down this type of crap before, we'll do it again!!!!!.

Go GET'M Lou;
Just wanted you to be careful Next October when heading down to The October gathering at Ty's place; If a State wont reciprocate Florida's CCW , then Florida don't accept theirs. I don't know about NC, but I BET its the same way.

Yeah that's the word, but N.C. is an open carry state so I'll just go that way if we loose this fight.
To be honest, I'm not sure we won't be in total civil war by then if things don't change real quick like.

I emailed the VA board of Tourism and informed them that due to this policy, I was cancelling my weeklong vacation in the Richmond area that was to be in May. I'll take that money to a more friendly state and will not set foot in VA, or purchase any products from known VA sources, until this BS is rescinded. Several folks from a different forum have done the same.

RKB, I agree, make the politicians feel it word hurts the most in their pocket book when they realize what they've done is costing the people of Virginia money and it's costing them votes because of the stupid laws they've made maybe just maybe the reverse this thing.
I told them when I called them but this was going to cost for Virginia tourism dollars but they're so stupid they probably won't get it.
