I was in the Cody Firearms museum last Friday and discovered that it has Walt Longmire’s 1911 and badge and Deputy Vic Moretti’s Glock and badge on display from the TV show “Longmire”.

I’m likely not the only one to be amused when I saw the badge number on Vic’s badge.

Anyone else think it’s a nod to an old female sidekick from a 60s TV Show?

Name her and the TV show:

Wifey told me a new set of Longmire episodes are due to be released. I'd probably watch them.

And oh yeah, while he did some pretty work with his Winchester, he seemed to struggle with the 1911. Maybe best it stay in the museum & a new episode might find him with a gat that suits him better.

Or maybe, just like Lucas McCain, he might be better served with a Winchester alone.

I did like the show but it got a little tiring near the end .....
On several episodes he would finally confront the evil killer bad guy and for some reason they would have to get in a fist-a-cuffs when he should have just shot the SOB. I also had a problem with Delta Burk's husband, the older Simon brother, being a really evil bad guy.

Hey the guy has range. From Major Dad to Longmire he pretty much covered the spectrum.

I have a pic of the Longmire 45, but it didn't have Vic's badge or gun under it. Nice addition!

Thread drift:

If you like Robert Taylor's Longmire character, you might want to see him in the short lived series "Territory". It was filmed in north Australia with some unique looking aboriginal actors. Great story line, but apparently it wasn't worth Netflix's effort.

Don't let the 6.8 Netflix rating fool you. It's worth the watch if you can find it.
