You may have heard on the news about a Southern California man who was put under 72-hour psychiatric observation when it was found he owned 100 guns and allegedly had 100,000 rounds of ammunition stored in his home. The house also featured a secret escape tunnel. By Southern California standards, someone owning 100,000 rounds is considered "mentally unstable."

In Michigan, he'd be called "The last white guy still living in Detroit."

In Arizona, he'd be called "an avid gun collector."

In Arkansas, he'd be called "a novice gun collector." In Utah, he'd be called "moderately well prepared," but they'd probably reserve judgment until they made sure that he had a corresponding quantity of stored food."

In Kansas, he'd be "A guy down the road you would want to have for a friend.

In Montana, he'd be called "The neighborhood 'Go-To' guy."

In Idaho, he'd be called "a likely gubernatorial candidate."

In Georgia, he'd be called "an eligible bachelor."

In North Carolina, Virginia, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky and South Carolina he would be called "a deer hunting buddy."

And, in Texas he'd just be "Bubba, who's a little short on ammo."

Although it's intended as comedy, it's another example of the effort to divide and conquer. Worth noting the separation between largely urban (Democrat/Liberal) and largely rural ( Republican/Conservative) states. To wit: There are 3 times as many people in NYC than there are in the entire state of MS.

That's really not much ammo for a guy that owns 100 guns that's only a 1000 rounds a gun, I have more than a thousand rounds for each gun I own, of course I don't own 100 guns I'm not a collector.

Yes, I understand there was a certain amount of humor intended in the OP...

Now, for the humorless amongst us, California does have a limit on how much powder one can possess. It has no limit on the number of firearms, primers or loaded rounds. Sounds like the witch hunts have begun, just about as soon as one of Moonbeam II's latest misguided signatures dried.

Is it time once again to thank all our NON-NRA member gun owners (whether in a given State or nationwide) for their support? (Where'd that sarcasm emoticon go?) :roll:

:? Years ago when the bank robbers had their big shoot out with the police,my mother in law was having dinner with us. When the news made a comment on the number of guns and the amount of ammo that the criminals had my mother in law couldn't believe how well armed the we're and how horrible it was. I told he not to look downstairs because those criminals didn't have squat.
