Loading Bench Upgrades

If you're getting rid of that "old Rock Chucker" how's about putting it in the classifieds here so we can get a shot at it.

I'd NEVER get rid of my RockChucker. I got my first on in 1982,, and still have it. Despite having a few other presses,, (including a second Rockchucker,, and a Redding T6,) it still sees good use.

I have a newer rock chucker as well as a partner press. I found the new one to not do anything the old one does and just stuck it in a drawer. I never seem to be able to “get rid” of anything either. I may soon have to though. My loading room is at full capacity! LOL

Seriously,, Over the decades,, My space has grown to suit my needs. I started in 1977 with a folding table I built because I didn't have a room or much space in the shared trailer I lived in. later on,, as I moved a few times,, I'd dedicate a room to my gun stuff. And I built loading benches to suit my needs,, AND allowed for some expansion. Well, now my bench is quite long,, as I got a dedicated bigger room,, which allowed for more bench space.

My present set up: Dies and turrets are on a shelf under the bench, a couple of other presses are on a bookshelf to the right, and the powder and some other components are on another shelf to the right.
I use the Lee bench plate to allow swapping out presses; I have mostly Lee, but I also have an RCBS Partner, and an OLD Lyman Spartan. Had to drill some holes in teh plates to match up, but that was easy.
I have 6 turrets set up for the press in the pic, and I like it well enough, but I really think manually turning the turret would add decades to the life of a press. My SIL has the Lyman Brass-Smith All American, it's pretty nice.

I have a serious case of gunpowder envy. 
I love my T7. I have about seven turrets full of dies with a ratchet handy for quick changes. This way I get my dies dialed in perfectly and rarely have to touch them.

I have my RCBS Rockchucker that I got used in 1981 permanently mounted on my bench. I'd NEVER get rid of my single-stage press. It gets plenty of use.
HOWEVER,, I also got into USPSA competition in 1998. I found the NEED for quantity, due to the volume of shooting I was doing. So,,,,,,,,, a Dillon was purchased to give me the quantity needed. But my RCBS is always used to work up any loads before looking at the potential necessity of larger quantities of ammo.
It's not a fascination,, but more of a necessity. It also allows me to shoot a lot more!
