I got one of the Lipsey's SP101 .327s late last year and it had issues with the fired cases sticking the chambers. All the chambers would have cases that had to be hammered out. I know of at least 2 other guns that had the same issue. I opened a ticket with Ruger and they had me send it back and I received in last month and the ticket said reamed cylinders and fired 12 times with no stuck cases.. So far so good, right? Here is that it looks like... It does eject easily though. I'm not sure what to do at this point.. Is there any reason to think I'll have a better result if I call Ruger again to fix it?

Must make guys like JT feel real good bout lending their names to something ……. Hope the $$ was worth it

Never tried to chuck a rat tail file. I'd say the resale value took a pretty hard hit.

"Dear Ruger, had a gunsmith clean up the cylinder on my SP-101, should I be upset or concerned "?

Cylinder replacement with a properly sized and fitted cylinder be in order. At least that's what I would ask them to consider.

daveinar-Good luck with your 101. Best thing to do IMHO is take it to a qualified gunsmith and get it fixed. Shouldn't be much trouble. Ruger has gone the way of the rest of big business. Hire the cheapest labor and get it out the door fast. Your 327 is a prime example. I have the same but was very early 101. Works perfect. Your Ruger was probably done by a product of the public school system.
