Laughable offerings. Odd ball cartridges of limited, if any, practical use in a lame, 1S 20", profile. My old 44 carbine fills that niche better and even has more eye appeal at a third the price IF it were for sale.

The three 20 inch 1S offerings makes me want a K1S 20 inch, several suggestions besides my 30-30 desire, would be OK with most of the others suggested

Would it have been that hard to make it 480 instead? Why would they do 475 when all their revolvers are 480? Same thing with 454/460. If I buy one of these rifles I'm going to have to buy new brass if I want rifle accuracy out of it.

Also, don't 460 ballistics pretty much duplicate 450 bushmaster with the same bullet? I bet a 45 Colt would have been a much better seller.

This is great news for those of us who live in midwestern states that are just now legalizing rifles chambered in pistol cartridges for deer hunting! I had a 475 of the original run several years ago and foolishly sold it. You can count me in for a 460 and possibly the 475 too.

Anybody know a dealer that can get them yet? My local guy has a hard time getting the allocated stuff.

I just ordered a 460 yesterday, Lipsey has them marked "allocated" but have your dealer call, they have a number of them on hand.

According to the site, the rifle will shoot both 480 and 475 Linebaugh.

My FFL has a 475 coming. They are marked allocated, but he called and had no problem getting one. He gave me a price of $1310.

475 is more powerful than the 480. Any rifle or revolver chambered for the 475 will accept 480 cases
The 460 will accept 454 cases. Since these rifles are new there is no proof that accuracy will be better if you use 460 or 475 brass.

Yes, we don't have empirical evidence yet. However every other firearm chambered for the longer brass in a given caliber generally shoots with less accuracy when using the shorter brass due to the bullet having an unsupported jump between the end of the case and the throat. Perhaps we could try trimming some 30-06 cases .100" short just to see if the theory holds true? Clearly that's a bad idea, even if it's not dangerous. Same thing with 480 in a 475 chamber.

Does the shorter brass=less accuracy apply to rifles as well as pistols? I would think that by the time the bullet has traveled down a 20" barrel all should be equal. I dunno.

It doesn't matter how long the barrel is. If it enters crooked and engages the rifling cockeyed, it's going to leave the muzzle cockeyed. Yeah I know we're probably only talking an moa or less, but an moa matters when we're talking about a $1200 rifle.
