I was not aware of the auction in which you speak. I can tell you this, condition play a huge part in these auctions especially with the tri-colors and there respective boxes. The boxes have always been rare, simply because it was all about the gun and most boxes fell by the wayside. As of late they have become increasingly rare, especially the Green wreath box. If memory serves, I believe Rene had the Black Wreath Box alone listed for $800. The GWB was around 1200.00 . I have seen a tricolor go for over 5k with the GWB couple years ago, pristine box, box numbered to the gun all the paperwork and grease paper included, I was a bidder on that item and got knocked out. When it comes to these type of items, established price is basically out the window and "the got to have it" mentality applies, naturally a nice bankroll always is a plus. The last lightweight I purchase, box included was 1500 and I thought it was a steal at that price. There are some forum members that I am sure have what you seek, factor is going to be what you want to spend or are able to spend. Hope this helps.
