Ihad cleaned up my house last week so only a mite of touch up here and there this morning. I had my devotions and read my Bible. I'm almost finished with Matthew in my read through the Bible in the year.I fixed my breakfast, my Saturday morning pancakes with maple syrup and sausage. Only this morning I had country style smoked sausage. Checked my email the set out to do a little yard work.

I had seven pales on hand to replace in my fence, so replaced those. Also cut up a big limb that fell out of my oak tree last night. Fortunately it missed taking down any wires. Did have to cut it up with my chain saw in order to move it. I could only lift about a four foot long log onto my wagon.

Despite being rather cool, I worked up a sweat in short order. Temps today only around 94* or so, good day for working. About noon I stopped for lunch, taking time to drink a SlimFast and eat a nutty buddy.

By 1:30 p.m. I was tired out, can't go like I used to. So came in and took a hot shower ansd put on clean clothes. I didn't shave, but splashed on a little Pinaud Bay Rum just because I liked the smell.

There's just something satisfying about working hard and getting all dirty and sweaty, then relaxing after a hot shower kicked back in my recliner.

If it just wasn't so lonely at times.

I like your post Bob. They show an insight into your life that I can relate to sometimes. I also did yardwork today but unfortunately I wore out a lot faster than you do. I got an azalea hedge trimmed back and some volunteer trees cut back. Then I hauled all the trash to the front and took a break. After a little bit of lunch, went back to the backyard and got on the lawnmower to star cutting the grass. By the time I finished up a big storm blew through with a lot of wind and the rain kicked up just as I pulled the lawnmower in under the carport. Take a shower and put on fresh clothes just in time for the power to go out. It was about 5 o’clock, now it’s 1 o’clock in the morning and we still have no power. Starting to get a little warm and sticky in the house, but I’m going to try to lay down and get some sleep so I can get up for church in the morning. Y’all have a good night.
