I wonder what final edition means on the new Liberty SR1911.
Final of the engraved 1911 series?
Final production model for the SR?
Any ideas?

I would assume that final edition has the same meaning as when manufacturers apply the term limited editions...limited to how many they can sell ;)

Both editions are very nice. There is no point in me owning a fancy gun. All I would do is shoot it. I'd have to.

Once a revolver had proven itself worthy of sticking around, Elmer Keith would often have them engraved to “hide the scratches” they would get from regular use.

I can appreciate engraved guns. Some like this one are beautiful. Trouble is too many nooks and crannies to keep clean.

So I would relegate them to art pieces to be displayed. Since I have nether extra money or a place to display them. I will pass on ownership, and admire from afar.

The “FINAL” moniker strikes me as sort of ominous.
