Leupold Ultralight

I picked up an Ultralight at a gun show a few months ago and it was surprisingly light. I've been thinking about buying one but would like to hear from some owners that have purchased one to see if they're as durable and idiot proof as their predecessors.

I have an Ultralight 3-9 AO that I have had for 20 years or nearly so. I have had it on a ,22lr, Weiraugh 55MM airgun, and it presently resides on a lightweight Browning (small ring Mauser) .243. Lilely it's biggest test was the year or so on the airgun. The first scope I put on it (simmons) lasted one shot. The second shot literally demolished the innerds. It is light, accurate, and bright enough. It comes from the II lineup from Leupold. I'm presently on the look for a good deal on the fixed 2.5X version-lots of eye relief. I do not think you would be disappointed. Best wishes, Jack
