What is in your coffee pot?
We're mostly Folgers Classic Roast around here, but on occasions we order a special blend or three from Gevalia. My wife like's their pumpkin spice coffee this time of year.
 
My wife buys the coffee, and she usually gets Folgers Custom Roast. A couple of times a year she orders from a place in Wisconsin called Berres Brothers. They have different kinds of stuff. Just whatever she happens to be in the mood for at the time.

Sometimes when the store is out of Folgers she'll get Maxwell House. I don't really care..... so long as I get it black! 8)
 
Today it's Folgers Dark Roast. Don't know how they call it that, as it does not compare to a good dark roast. Problem is, I don't make much coffee at home, so with the shelf life of coffee being so short, most of my coffee grounds or beans are thrown away. Figured I'd try a little can of Folgers. Again, there's no free lunch.

We usually use a mixture of Folgers Classic Roast and Dunkin' Donuts original...LOML thinks the Dunkin' is too expensive by itself so she "saves money" by mixing it with Folgers. I don't say anything I might regret later.
 
Ya, it was a tongue in cheek kinda thing. Am so glad you could laugh it off. Much thin skin around here lately. Stay safe.

Plain ol' Folgers Classic here most of the time, too...

Somewhere along the line, my sense of smell has pretty much disappeared, which trashed my sense of taste, so it's hard for me to tell the difference between Mrs. Olson's favorite "cheap" brand and the high dollar stuff... :(

Needs vs Wants. When I climbed and backpacked I made up little baggies of "coffee' mix. One spoonful of instant Folgers, one spoonful of Hersheys instant chocolate, one spoonful of sugar. This, and my Lisa's recipe for Monster Cookies, kept me running and alive.
 
Due to a nasty & ongoing battle with arrhythmia, I'm somewhat limited to caffeine-free or at best, half-caf. (If I don't get carried away!) I like the Folgers Half Caf best, but the Sam's Club decaf K-Cups (For Keurig) are good. For the K-Cups, I also LOVE the Tully's French Roast Decaf, especially with a jigger of Carolann's Irish Cream stirred in! ;) (Cocktail hour only!)
 
Berres Brothers coffee roasters is located in Watertown, Wis. I only about 30 miles from there and try to stock up when I get near them. Smells fantastic .Great products my preference is their French Roast whole bean. Grind up my own fresh every morning. DELICIOUS!! :D

We usually get either Folgers or Maxwell House Columbian. There is another kind my wife gets from Sam's Club sometimes but I'm having trouble remembering the name.

Ever since I started traveling to TX and LA for my work in the mid 70's, I've been hooked on Community Coffee Dark Roast. That's all Annie and I drink. We have a regular mail order supply from them.
 
I guess I'm just too old school. I've been drinking Eight O'Clock for years and usually get it at Sam's Club. It's funny how some of the drinkers of the really expensive stuff always tell me how good it is and seem surprised when I tell them.
 
Folgers Classic Roast has been my longtime favorite.

Many years ago when we frequented the malls I wasted more money at the specialty coffee shops. Those Dutch choclolate peppermint mochas smell soooo good couldn't help but buying a cup. All of them tasted awful to me! But I'd try again anyway.

Even when I was a kid at home, my Mother used Folgers. And when we played cowboys, we would put some coffee grounds in our cheeks so when we spit, it looked like tobacco juice! We would chew our "chaw" and could play for hours without tiring!

Dave prefers Eight O'clock too. I buy it whole bean from the IGA in Francesville. Dad... twice a year he buys a hundred pound bag of raw bean from an old friend of my uncle's in Rhodesia (I get in trouble if I call it Zimbabwe) then has a place in Merriville dark roast them for him. The beans must be freshly ground and a percolator used not a drip machine. The result is a vile mess roughly the consistency of thirty weight motor oil on a January morning. He claims two mugs will keep a healthy man going all day. My step mother claims any man that wants to stay healthy uses it to polish silverware not drink it. Luckily it's not my fight so I stay out of it.
 
Seattle's Best from Sam's club. I think it's about $16 a bag and lasts us about a month of morning coffee. Not too bad.
 
I use a Keurig and usually have several blends on hand. Right now it is Folgers decaf and Eight O'clock decaf. The docs put me on decaf and only one cup a day so it doesn't pay to brew a whole pot of coffee. Wife drinks tea.
 
My wife and I are Eight O'clock coffee drinkers ourselves. Probably the bet coffee for the buck around.

I'm a coffee snob. In my house you ask for a slice of coffee!!! Before I retired, I had my own coffee pot in my office and a French Press. Some of the line supervisors would come in when they were draggin their butts and request a cup of what they referred to as NUCLEAR coffee :mrgreen:

If it is out of a can,... nothing but Folgers Black Silk. Otherwise I bounce around on bean coffee and grind my own. Most of the canned coffee has WAY too much "filler"
 
I'm not tied down to any brand myself, but the night shift guys at work swear by Lavazza. They even have an expresso machine set up.
 
For those who can tell the difference - Life is too short for lousy-tasting coffee.

Tim Horton's is a good blended coffee, but we prefer Alto Grande/Puerto Rico and 100% colombian bean here in the elevations. PR being a US dollar economy, and most PR brands make terrific coffee.
