I have been considering a set of custom made grips for my Ruger SBH Hunter. I'm already having a holster custom made for it and is in process right now. If you have any custom grips or leather for your Blackhawk or single action, show'um off. Mods, if this needs to go to the gallery, please send it there.

This is the gun in reference:

How about a set of Elkhorn?? All of these are on a few of my 32's.

Or some maple? Curly or Birdseye.

I can see why you want some custom grips. The bottom picture looks like the grips don't fit the best. I have aftermarket grips on I think all of my single actions.

Not sure if you've thought about which wood but on stainless I love dark grips or stag. I like the contrast with dark grips.....And stag is just incredible on any single action.

i will post some pictures when I get home. I can't do it from my phone...

Well. The originals fit perfectly. But custom grips and custom leather are a must on beautiful single actions.

Yes. Looking for a dark grip. Black micarta, dark rosewood, something like that. Black horn or antler of some kind?

The custom leather holster I'm having made is going to be black.

Sorry, not a single action but ..... these grip inserts were made by a man here on this forum.

We refer to them as the "Halloween" grips as they are orange and black Micarta.

here is some i whittled out of some wood i had at the house. hopefully one day, the work will be worthy of the wood...

Good stuff! There are some real works of art in this thread!

I have a Old Model SBH that my dad bestowed upon me in 1985... The grips were 'Dad home made'... Nothing pretty, but he knew exactly what he liked for grips. I have no idea what happened to the original grips, but these were Dad's, and so they'll stay. ;)

The number of beautiful custom grips keep adding up, as witnessed by the exceptional quality and variety of grips in this thread.

stevem always brings some outstanding burl wood grips to the table.

Short Barrel's Bighorn Sheep grips are definitely a class act. Will be my choice of material for a future grip project.

Here's a set of exhibition Turkish Walnut grips custom fit by Larry Caudill of New Mexico. I supplied the wood.
