I'm interested either in a 22 lr LCR or the 380 LCP. Ignoring the caliber difference, is there any reason to pick one over the other?

For me reliability is my main concern, I tend to Pocket carry when I'm in an area that makes me twitchy or when I'm out for a walk with a heavy coat. Not that it would be the best option, but my hand is allready there. My thoughts are the LCR should fire reliable from a pocket, LCP one shot at best.
