LCR Cylinder Rubbing Frame When Closing

I just bought a new Ruger LCR in 327 Federal yesterday and noticed that when closing the cylinder it is rubbing the frame, to the point where only after a day of having it, it has worn a pretty large spot down to bare metal. I have owned J frames in the past and have never remembered an issue like this, so I am wondering if this is just the nature of the beast with LCR's or something to be concerned about.

I emailed Ruger about it but they are away for New Years and wont be able to get back to me until the 4th.

Neither of mine do that(I'll take a look when I get home), however, mine are chambered in 38 and 22, they are both aluminum frames where yours is stainless steel. That being said, I do not believe that is normal. Is there a corresponding mark on the cylinder? I can't see one in the picture.

Well, upon further inspection there is a very, very, slight hint of a mark the frame of my 38, nothing on the 22. There's just enough play in the crane when it's open that the cylinder can be rocked and gets really close. I took several pics but the mark doesn't show up like yours, my coating is fine. Let us know what Ruger says/does...

Neither my 38 or 357 do that. Hard to believe that's normal. What did your retailer say to help you?

My 22mag and 327 are both good though the 22 is close but no contact.

what did ruger say about it?, i just got an lcr 9mm about a month ago. so far no marks.
